Prien am Chiemsee – Competition

he Prien project was a competition aimed at finding ways to enhance the value of the city of Prien. The defining challenge of the city is the railway line that connects Prien am Chiemsee with Munich but also divides the city into two parts. The objective of the project was to restore the quality of the space, which had been impacted by the railway line.

The goal of the competition was to find innovative solutions to this challenge, and many architects and designers submitted ideas. The focus was on creating a space that would be both functional and visually stunning, while also restoring the sense of unity and cohesiveness that had been lost due to the railway line.

The result of the competition was a range of exciting and innovative proposals, all aimed at enhancing the value of the city and restoring the quality of the space. The new designs were carefully crafted to be both practical and visually appealing, with a focus on creating a sense of unity and connection between the two parts of the city.

Overall, the Prien project is an excellent example of how innovative design can be used to solve complex challenges and bring new value to a city. The focus on restoring the quality of the space and creating a sense of unity and cohesiveness is a testament to the power of design to shape the spaces in which we live and work.
